Bibliographic Information: The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. (Cd: Game). 2K Games, Bethesda Softworks. Platforms: Windows, Xbox 360, Playstation 3. March, 2006.
Plot Summary: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a video game that is very complex and involves character development, skills and stealth. As the game begins, Emperor Uriel Septim VII and bodyguards (blades) are fleeing from the assassins of a fanatical religious cult. The player of the game follows the party and the group is attacked by the Mythic Dawn. The emperor ends up being assassinated and it is revealed that there is not an heir for the Emperor.
There are various areas and dimensions of the land. When perusing the Master Legend there are forts, Shrines (which talk to you and give you quests), caves, vampires, ruins and different races: cats, orcs, humans (blacks and whites), high elves, dark elves and aronions (lizards).
Critical Evaluation: This complex, addictive game has many different levels and dimensions. At the beginning of the game the player selects a race and is able to customize their appearance. Therefore, every time a player plays he is able to "become" a different person or "thing." The player also selects major skills and every time the player improves by 10 points he moves up a level. In a nutshell, the game is challenging, interesting and always different.
Annotation: Oblivion is a game full of adventure, fantasy and challenges.
